We love this machine. We have limited space and need to have both a coffee maker and a cappucino maker in that space. We have had none of the difficulties that others mention. But we did take the black plastic sleeve off of the frother and that has made a huge difference. With it on we got bubbles. Now we get great froth. And if we pack the espresso well we get an excellent crema. It is a $100 machine that makes both coffee and espresso. It is not going to be like a $1000 Starbucks machine. We set our expectations appropriately and were delighted.

I tried buying this item on line from a major dept store 3 days before Christmas. After they processed the order (which included tax) they told me it would ship on February 8th. I cancelled the order and went to Amazon.com. I had the item the day after Christmas and we have used it daily ever since. We are very happy with the purchase and are very glad to have it in our home. We are also very glad that we bought it through Amazon.com.

Had a version of this coffee maker for four years on a boat, I've worked out it has made well over 7000 cups of coffee... living on a boat on the ocean the salty air has eaten everything else that's not "marine grade" and usual much more expensive, except for my old Krups, she's still going strong!
That's works out to a cost of around one tenth of one cent per cup!!!

I was a little hesitant to buy this machine based on some negative reviews about broken handles and the machine being cheaply made. Glad I decided to take a chance,I love the XP1500, it makes great espresso and coffee, shipping was FAST, the price speaks for itself.

I have had this coffee maker for over four years, and today, it stopped working. We never had any problems with it. It satisfied our home coffee and latte needs! We brewed regular coffee every or atleast every other morning for more than four years, and made espresso a few times a month. One of the best coffee machines I have ever owned, except today it died with out warning. Although the light does come on, the water is not heated. Again, aside from the sudden failure after fours years+ this was a great machine.
